He is giving a keynote at the sdexpo at Hynes convention ceneter. EXPO
pass and keynotes are free. Info is at www.sdexpo.com.
The following is from the conference web page.
This presentation will discuss trends in the market place and how they
impact the way in which we need to develop software. Over the last few
years, IBM has worked with large numbers of software executives and
development teams to analyze trends and compile a profile of software
development priorities that capture modern patterns of success. We will
cover these patterns of success that characterize successful software
projects, as well as the anti-patterns. We will also discuss topics such
as the future role of agile development, service-oriented architectures,
business-driven development and open source software.
He is also speaking at the Boston SPIN meeting at MITRE.

Abstract: Fifty Years of Software Development – Lessons from the Ancients
Software development is always changing, but immersed in those changes,
we may fail to see that not everything changes. Perhaps what hasn't
changed in fifty years is worth our attention.
In this presentation, Jerry will tell some stories from his half-century
in this software business and draw lessons about what is going on at
present-what's important and what's ephemeral
