If they're using WDS to extend the network there are some
interoperability problems. I've had trouble with my Apple Airport
card, for instance - something to do with short and long preamble
frames... a friend's cheap broadcom card can see it just fine.
I think I read WDS is being standardized
Vally is on the wrong side as to where this is pointed. I can get it
with no problems on elm st. at 1000 elm. There is now a repeater down on
889 Elm.
I've been on it a few times..
At my current apt. (literally next door to the main node for Manchester
wireless) it's so loud I get interference

Parts of Boston has free wifi, I know Akamai allows free web browsing.
