There is still some work to do to make at-spi2 work with assistive
technologies such as Orca. Without digging into the complete stack
trace below, I suspect you might be running into the reentrancy issue
that still needs to be resolved.

I tried to install at-spi2 by following the guide which Mario has posted
in debian accessibility list.
Installation was done under ubuntu karmic because of newer gnome
packages.
# ps x saays after login:
32594 ?S 0:01 /usr/lib/at-spi2-core/at-spi-registryd
# echo $GTK_MODULE
