gnome-vfs has been branched for 2.16 work. The 2.14 branch is gnome-2-14. I don't have any specific plans for 2.16 atm. We'll probably look at merging the ACL branch, and maybe look at getting chained uris to work properly (i.e. browse inside .zip and .tar files).
