I don't subscribe to this list, but I read Mario's reply in the
archive, and here is a reply to that.
I was sure the Makefile.am was checked in, but it is not. I'll check
it in and see if that improves the situation. I'm not that fond of
having a file that we don't even use to explicitly declare

To be honest, if damned-lies could read python syntax this would be
fine but I guess it can't and then I think the dummy Makefile.am
solution is just as good. None of the solutions are as good as
The dummy Makefile.am has also the advantage of not requiring new
changes to library.gnome.org.
