One issue I have in mind is to add the download date in the filename
of the archives.
For exampe,
instead of
http://l10n.gnome.org/languages/el/gnome-2-24/ui.tar.gz
to have something like
http://l10n.gnome.org/languages/el/gnome-2-24/gnome-2-24-ui-2008-11-04
