Big rush on the servers right now!
I'm having trouble getting all the screenshots needed. Do I have to
copy the English screenshots over, to replace any I don't have? Or
will the release notes default back to the main figures directory for
any missing figures?

I am sure most of the teams don't have up-to-date Gnome 2.12 beta
installations, so they are unable to add figures to the release notes
in their own locale.
If there is anyone who can do the screenshots (has both the time and
ability :) for other teams, it would be very nice to announce
Please do try to keep the translated screenshots similar to the originals.
I notice that some of you have quite complicated "hacker" screenshots on
the front page. But it should really show a default desktop - with the
default theme, default background, default panel applets, etc.

Only if you copy them yourself. You should do that if you are missing some
screenshots. It's not the end of the world if some of your screenshots are
English.
