Dave But other windows do this -- when you resize the 'new account' Dave window the internal components will resize to fit. Perhaps Dave 'auto-size' is a feature that should be turned on or off in the Dave preferences. I don't think it is the auto-size that I didn't like, it was the way

In recent versions of guile, libreadline is no longer linked directly or enabled by default, but as we all know, it's quite nice to have during development. If you'd like to turn it back on, and you didn't find the tidbit buried in the NEWS file, all you need to do is execute this:
