After the announcement of the release of 1.4.10 I did a fresh checkout of
the latest 1.4.x branch on CVS (I think I did it correctly). There was no
'autogen.sh' with it so I used 'configure' which seemed to go well. When I
enetered 'make' this is what I got (only this and nothing more):
# make

Trying to get more information for Dave on another problem, I decided to
cycle the file I was currently viewing. On the first attempt, I get
heaps of the messages below, stack-frame dump, and a dialog saying that
"The filename blah is not a valid locatio

Just want to thank all (Dave Peticolas and others) for helping me out
building latest gnucash unstable. Finally got it working - more as a
matter of persistence than anything else and your help.
Perhaps, the docs could improve on how to do this so I'm including
