Hi Rob,
I just tried to import the attached QIF file into my GnuCash book (a short
QIF piece from my online bank). I chose one existing checking account as
matching QIF account, and I chose existing income/expense accounts for the
payer/memo field.
For what it is worth, you have a problem with your Doc Book setup. In that
guppi.sgml still uses DocBook 3.1 and you either do not have DocBook set up at
all, or you no longer have version 3.1 on your machine.
The second problem with the lack of a Guppi.Lang file may go away if you first

Further to my post this morning. (I have not yet seen it arrive back)
you will have to also rm -rf /var/tmp/[Gg]uppi-root or some varinat of that.
then rerun
rpm -bb Guppi.spec
Also, to fix the jade problem you will have to reinstall DocBook3.1
Gilligan, may I use the feet in your .sig ascii

I had docbook-3.1-13mdk.i586.rpm installed but I reinstaled it:
rpm -i --replacepkgs docbook-3.1-13mdk.i586.rpm
install-catalog: install of docbook DTD
docbook DTD already in catalog
rm -Rf /usr/src/RPM/BUILD/Guppi-0.35.5/
there was no /var/tmp/[Gg]uppi*
rpm -bb Guppi.spec guppi.build.txt

Hmmm. As far as I know ( and I would like to have someone more
knowledgeable than I help out here) you need the 3.1 DTD in the catalog, as
jade is looking for the 3.1 DocBook DTD. Is there any way of telling which
catalog file that jade is using?
I am sure that
Hmm, as I do not run Mandrake, I can not help with the required settings.
I had the same docbook problems and never could find a
Mandrake RPM that
would set up things properly. I eventually got the gnucash manual
working with the following info:

What does your %{tmpdir} point to? Mine was /var/tmp
near as I can tell, nowhere!
[root@pluto /root]# echo %{tmpdir}
%{tmpdir}

I tried the first link, and the testsgm fails, even after I add the suggested

second link yet. maybe tomorrow.

I'm thinking, maybe jade is not looking in the rigtht place
for docbook,
This will be deeper than you wanted to go I am sure.
In the spec file there is a variable called tmpdir
Find where this is set and see what it is set to.

(sorry for the crossposting, but probably appropriate in this case).
I've been investigating bugs with gnucash's printing of guppi graphs. One
seems to be a straightforward guppi bug, the other is somewhere in the
interaction of guppi, gnucash, gtkhtml and possibly gnome-print :(
