Account GUID >first<, I cannot think of any
current use case it could break.

that would require also require modeling both accounts of the transaction
anyway (and representing it as a transfer in OFX).
For now you should just stick with what you have.

you are going to have a real painfull user experience.

Changes:

- Workaround OFX files specifying invalid encoding values
(specifically: UNICODE and CP1252). This should fix most
encoding
problems reported.
- Look for DTD in source directory (simplifies
ange anytime soon). But if anyone wants to
develop (this should be much easier now with git), your patches will NOT fall
into a black hole.
Thanks for everyone who helped recently!

Auto-increment is, IMHO a completely different problem. I do use
alphanumerical values in ther check number regularily, but I never thought
that GnuCash could increment them for me, so I have no opinion on how/if it
should do it.

That's probably not worth solving. Creating the accounts requires a user
intervention anyway, and backing out of the import does not necessarily mean
that the user wants or expects all the accounts he manually created to be
deleted.

Fine, but you'll most likely lose the argument.

I tested you file, it is syntaxically correct, but libofx doesn't import it
properly, so the bug is definitely in libofx.

It's probably a good idea to import all open (or all) bugzilla entries so we
can use milestones to sync the objectives for each release.

doesn't fill the account information properly. It may or may not be a good
idea for gnucash to refuse to import accounts with blank IDs and notify the

I think the easiest would be to keep writing Changelog entries like we used to
do, not be too strict about file lists, but only put them in the svn log
message.
