Ok, I see. The problem is likely your csv file doesn't provide a transaction currency. In that case the currency of the first split will be used as transaction currency. That would not work correctly in your case as the first line is actually in the foreign currency (with exchange rate). I h

Until and unless some facility is provided to make general notes, this could be problematic if it applied to all accounts. Even then, some might specifically use the Imbalance or Orphan accounts for that purpose. Such a change would have to be communicated well to users. You wouldn’t want to wip
