Thanks @John Ralls that wiki page was what prompted this thread, hoping to
tweak report without going through the full report development process.

The issue is Save Report Configuration saves those reports in a different
part of the menu to the default reports
I noticed in that thread all the users seeing that error were using early
3.x releases of GnuCash. Perhaps updating to 3.10 would also solve the
Issue.

There is an import mapping step which maps an account name in the Transfer
account field onto an account in the GnuCash CoA structure the first time
the account name occurs. It will then be remembered for any subsequent
imports.

When you close a tab and I guess you are referring to an account tab it is
closed , i.e it no longer exists as an entity in the program although any
data entered into it should have been saved. To reopen a tab you need to go
to the Accounts tab and double click on the account you want in the CoA.
When I close a tab and save it. I can not find the saved tab any wheres on the
computer. Also when I tell the program to save when finished enters. The No
Disk screen ask for a disk to be inserted into the drive. When i tell the
program were to save the file. No Disk screen appears and will not

I know I can change the report setting. Can someone point me to the guile
file on my computer for that report? I'd like to tweak it.

I know I can change the report setting. Can someone point me to the guile
file on my computer for that report? I'd like to tweak it.

A Transaction Report is grouped by Account. The Default Display selecting
Account Name and not Other Account Name seems wrong, the whole group has
that account name. The setting is contrary to the equivalent report in
other Financial packages. Any concerns with me listing it as a bug?
