Answering myself to add some information:
* when reopening the books for 2021, I see that all EUR funds had a
split belonging to Trading:Currency:EUR, whereas this year I did not use it
* this gave me the idea to try entering the transaction from the
"capital" account, instead of the mutual

I'm sure I'm missing something obvious,
In previous version of gnucash I was able to pull up a line graph report
and then draw a box on teh graph, which would cause the graph to zoom in
on that section.
I upgraded to version 4.9 earlier this year and now I'm not able to zoom
