There are two default currency preferences, one for reports and the other for
creating new accounts. They both work the same way: They offer the locale
currency, which is set from the environment, or a combo box with a currency you
select. In order to
Open the environment file in the GNC_CONF path (you can see it in Help - about)
insert the following
LANG=ms_MY
save it as environment.local
restart GNUCash and you will be able to see MYR as your base currency.

Setup clean GNU with BRK-B using Alphavantage and ANZ with ASX the price for
both updates when running the Get Quotes
But . using same settings in current GNU file there I can still not update
quotes
