I have the exact same problem. Trace files are empty and compatibility mode
does not help.
This is a real blocker - I don't have access to my financial data anymore. I
hope there will be a solution for this issue soon!

Though, I did get it to work now by using Compatibility mode and setting it
to Windows 8.
