You are going to have to contact whoever made the binaries you
installed. This sounds
like an installation problem.

Gnumeric runs slow after newest version installed.
Gnumeric shuts down if I click on graph.

Unfortunately no, it has been built using the Macports libraries.

Sounds good!
Are there any patches from that work which ought to go into the git repository?

This is the latest build of Gnumeric Mac 1.12.38.
The MacOS native help is a bit slow to launch, but it does work.
This release doesn’t include databases support yet.
Still missing native menus and shortcuts to make it a great MacOS
application, but you’ll like it anyway for what it can already do.

This is fabulous!
We tried reusing Gtk code for the OSX UI in MonoDevelop/Xamarin Studio and
it was a big resource drain.
My recommendation is to embrace the platform and if necessary provide a
glue layer inside Gnumeric to handle the menus and accelerators in a
platform specific way.

Hello,
Congratulations on all the hard work!
It would be great to have a 'native' Gnumeric on mac OS X, even though
it exists on mac as non-native. (I use the homebrew version.)

Hello,
I have been working on building gnumeric on Mac OS X using GTK/Quartz (no X11).
Related to this effort, I have reported Bug #534134, Gnumeric does not seem to
support XDG Base Directory Specification.
The XDG Base Directory Specification defines how an application can set various
Hi.
I don't have a Mac.
Is 1GB (!) standard for GNU applications ported to Mac? It seems a bit large.

Hi. I have been using the GNOME IRC system for a while, and one of my
concerns was GNOME Office being ported to Mac OS X. I have gotten my
hands on DarwinPorts, which provided a ported version of Gnumeric
