Please, what am I missing ?
I'm running gpg-agent as follows:
/usr/bin/gpg-agent --enable-ssh-support --daemon /home/XXX/.xsession
and have the appropriate enviroment variables set.
My ~/.gnupg/gpg-agent.conf contains:

Actually there is no caching at all for smartcards. Smartcards
