Let me add: 10. It is possible to use git for local working directory, while interacting with a remote Subversion repository (see git-svn [1]) I've been using it since several months ago, and I found it very usefull and comfortable. Any git-fan shouldn't miss almost any git-feature he loves. There's nothing to do with the subversion repository, to enable it. Just the git-svn package to install on client side.
