I've eliminated the use of libgw32c for replacements of certain functions from
msvcrt.dll, notable the stat functions. This results in less dependence
on kernel32.dll and more on msvcrt.dll

Thanks! Casual testing shows it works now! Going to make more tests next

A recompiled barcode is available from
http://gnuwin32.sourceforge.net/
I hope this works also on Win2000 and Win2003.

Cool! When will that release be available? I think I'll just wait for that

The same command works correctly on an XP-SP2 system, so I cannot figure out
what goes wrong. Anyway, I'll prepare new releases for barcode and libpaper;
I hope they work also on 2000 and 2
