It is the annual awards given by the CSI Goa Chapter for IT Implementations in Goan Schools: · Best IT implementation in a Goan School Computer infrastructure, student-computer ratio, number of students undergoing computer education, usage of computers in teaching other subjects, usage by staff and teachers, etc. Special award also for Rural School. · Best IT Teacher School computer teacher with the most dedication, innovation and enthusiasm for imparting computer education to the students. · Best IT Student School student displaying the most enthusiasm and knowledge for computers and their usage. · IT Facilitator Any person who has been instrumental in setting up or furthering computer education in the school. She/he could be a school principal, teacher, member of PTA, ex-student, NRI, well wisher, or other. All schools will be receiving the questionnaire (that they will need to fill-up and return to the CSI Goa Chapter) shortly. Plan is as below: * Questionnaire to be mailed by end Dec. 02 to reach in the first week of January '03. Connectivity issue will also be posted along with the above. * Last date for receiving of questionnaire (back at the CSI office) will be around 18th January '03. * After this, the CSI goa Chapter Schools Award Committee will collect, collate the results, select the top schools and visit / inspect to see for themselves, based on which, the final decision will be arrived at. * This year's awards (to be announced by end-Jan-2002) will be based on actual school performance, usage of the computer equipment at the school and overall awareness of the students at the school, based on the declaration of the school and subsequent verification by members of the CSI Goa Chapter, Schools Awards Committee. If you know of any school(s) or individual(s) that you think could be in the above categories, please inform them about it and ask them to watch-for the questionnaire that should reach their respective schools shortly.
