This is only my opinion on why I Speak, Write,and Read Portuguese. I grew up speaking Portuguese in Panjim, so I decided to get into the habit of speaking, reading and writing Portuguese once again. My best friend here in New England is a former Portuguese literature lecturer at a University in Curitiba, Brazil. She has rehearsed and taught me an elegant way of speaking Portuguese as the Brazilians do, which is different from the Portuguese spoken in Portugal and elsewhere. Portuguese is a beautiful language. Here in New England I live in a Portuguese neighborhood of Boston filled with folks from Brazil and Portugal. Brazilian cuisine is similar to Goan gastronomy. In Goa we have "Sorpotel". There is a place in North Brazil that is called "Sarapatel" which is famous for its pork dishes. From all of my global travels right up to Buenos Aires, I must say that the Brazilians are the only ones who know how to "Party" every single day. I see that right on my face when I get back home from work, my Brazilian friends are all set to take me to the beach for another evening of "Churrassco" either at the beaches in Cape Cod or the North Shore. I guess this is where we Goans get our "sooosegaaad" habits. In my town of Somerville, I can boast of the best Portuguese "Pao" prepared in clay ovens by early Portuguese settlers from the Azores, and Sao Martin. Prescuito/ Presunto here is fine so also the various kinds of wines. Happy Reading, Edgar Para Goeses: Conversacão, Escrita e Leitura em Português. Eu cresci falando português em Panjim, então eu decidi adiquirir o hábito de falar, ler e escrever em português, novamente. Aqui em Novo Inglaterra meus melhor amigos elle é formada em literatura por uma Universidade de Curitiba. Desde que eu a conheci, ela tem me ensinado o falar português corretamente e elegantemente como os próprios brasileiros falam, cujo é diferente do português falado em Portugal. O Português é um idioma muito bonito de se falar e agradavel de ouvir aos não habituados. Atualmente moro em um bairro aonde vivem muitos brasileiros e portuguses. A cozinha Brasileira é muito parecida com a de Goa. Em Goa nós temos o " Sorpotel ". Na região Nordeste do Brasil, especificamente no Estado da Bahia, podemos encontrar e saborear o " Sarapatel " e que é muito famosa dentro e fora do país. Em todas as minhas viagens em varias partes do globo, fui até Buenos Aires eu sou obrigado a mencionar que não existe outro povo no mundo que saiba fazer festa como brasileiros, seja em qualquer país onde residam, seja quando for, seja com quem for. Quando volto do servico para casa, encontro alguns amigos brasileiros e eles logo me convidam ou para ir à praia, ou para um "churrasquinho", pode ser tanto em Cape Cod, ao sul de Boston, como em North Shore. Eu acho que sei de onde nós nascidos em Goa herdamos o nosso " Sossego ". Na cidade de Somerville posso desfrutar do melhor "Pão" Português, como nos velhos tempos em Goa. Feitos em fornos por portugueses de Acores e de San Martin. Presunto aqui, é tão fino quanto as variedades de vinhos. Boa Leitura.
