Dear all, The Houston Goan Convention started yesterday with approximately 250 attendees. It was a great pleasure to meet Dr. Santosh Helekar, one of the main organizers. The souvenir he edited is simply superb. The first thing that caught my eye was Fred Noronha's pictures of Goa and Rene Barreto's article on GOA DAY which figures prominently. Our cyberGoans are well represented (Santosh, Rene, Fred - altough Rene and Fred not in person). I feel in the heart of Goa - if it was not for the Marriott Hotel, Houston, sign I would not be able to tell, especially with the great Goan food ;-)
