Folks,
I was referred to this excellent article from the New York Review of Books.
It contrasts Orientalism and Occidentalism (yes, investigating the schisms
among the "isms"), given the soul searching that continues to pervade the
discourse in the US. Those of you who are familiar with Samuel
Huntington's seminal piece ("The Clash of Civilizations") and are looking
