If you enjoy Goan-flavoured music, try the Queen Elizabeth Hall (South Bank Centre, London) on Tuesday 16th evening. The great "Padma Shri" Vikku Vinayakram on ghatam (a probable ancestor of the ghumot) with his percussion group. They are absolutely fantastic, especially his son Selva Ganesh who's been touring with John McLaughlin. I've just been invited as guest performer to play a few of my piano compositions with them: plan to give them a taste of Goa.
