Letters of threat received by VHP HERALD CORRESPONDENT PONDA, MARCH 10 -- Ponda police have taken serious note of threatening letters sent to the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) at its Ponda office. Written in Hindi, the unidentified sender has threatened the Hindu organisation of dire consequences, if cordial relations are not maintained with the Muslim community. The writer reminded the VHP of the terror strikes in the US, London, Delhi and Mumbai, warning that such attacks could take place in Goa as well, if Manohar Parrikar and others did not improve their relations with the Muslim community. Acting on a complaint, Ponda police have provided special protection to the VHP office in Ponda. -- TUMCHER AXIRVAD ASSUM; DEV BOREM KORUM. Gabe Menezes. London, England Comment: This yet another sinister attempt to deflect from what happened in Sanvordem/Cuchorem...probably written and propogated by the BJP/RSS to foment more strife.
