All Goa Inter-Village soccer starts today

DUBAI — After the grand success of 2004 All Goa Inter-Village football
tournament held at Iranian stadium Dubai, All Star Entertainment in
association with United Goans are organising their second All Goa
Inter-Village 11-a-side championship during the holy Month of Ramadan.
The tournament will be held at Iranian Sports Stadium in Dubai from
today. Two matches will be worked off everyday except Thursdays on a
round robin league-cum-knockout basis till October 19.
The quarter-finals will be played on October 21, 22, 23 and 28 followed
by the semifinals on October 29 and 30. The final will be played on
November 4.
This year’s first match at 3:30pm is between last year’s runners-up
Chinchinim UAE Exchange and Calangute followed at 4:30pm by last year’s
champions Vanxim Divar versus Morjim.
Matches to follow on October 8 are: Zuari vs SFX Old Goa Jum Intl
(3.30pm) followed by F.C.Siolim North Tours vs Fatorda J.Ali Hotel.
