Poriem gets new sarpanch HERALD CORRESPONDENT VALPOI, JAN 26 - Rohidas Soma Gaonkar was unanimously elected sarpanch of Poriem panchayat. The post of sarpanch fell vacant due to the resignation of then sarpanch Atmaram Shetye about one-and-half month ago. Meanwhile, Vasant M Gawas was elected unopposed sarpanch of Keri (Sattari) panchayat. Then Sarpanch Ismail Karol had resigned on December 5, 2005.
