<Churchill ominously predicting that once the Mopa airport comes up our water and electricity bills will go up by five times. His logic is astounding. Here's how it goes Once the Mopa airport is built tourists will stop coming to Goa and go directly to the beaches of Sindhurg. The Goa Government gets its main income from tourism. Since there are no tourists the government will be forced to get money from the locals by increasing their water and electricity bills. What!!? There might be many reasons for and against Dabolim and Mopa but this is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I would think that some of Radharao Gracias' brilliant oratory, and keen logic, should have rubbed off on Churchill by now - considering that they are always seen together.> [Cecil Pinto]
Its most re-assuring to see that there ARE people in Goa who dont fall hook line and sinker for the silly arguments of our politicians. Its most disappointing to see these self-styled "leaders" playing zero-sum games to massage their own egos with not a care about the fate of the people -- or their intelligence.
