Sporting Clube de Goa beat Salgaocar Sports Club 5-4
in an exciting penalty shoot out. The teams were
locked in a 1 -1 draw even after extra time.
Unprecedented flash rains just an hour before the
match started at 1900 hrs IST caught many office
goers returning home in a chaos owing to a near
traffic jam caused by the rains that dampened both the
ground and the spirits of the football lovers.
With this win Sporting Clube now meet Mahindra United
in the finals fo the Alchemist Federation Cup on
Sunday 30th October, 2005
