I was proceeding from Mapusa towards Saligao at 10.15 am on 27/12/2005 on my motorcycle N0.GA-01-A-8167 with my daughter as pillion rider. Around 10.30 am, I reached Saligao near the house of Tourism Minister Dr.Willy De Souza where 4 cars were parked by the side of road . The driver of the car bearing registration no. GA-03-A-4501 belonged to the Ex-Transport Minister Mrs.Fatima De Sa without giving proper signal suddenly entered the road from side way. Naturally I lost the control and banged my bike on the said car and thereafter on another car. One of the legs of my daughter got fractured and I suffered Injuries. De Sa without ascertaining the real cause of accident and reprimanding her driver advised me in political style "you should drive the motorbike properly" Thereafter Calangute Police appeared on the scene and shifted my daughter and me to Azilo Hospital, Mapusa. Much to our dismay the Calangute Police instead of taking my statement they recorded the statement of my daughter in the Hospital. Further they took my motorbike to the Calangute Police station but they did not touch the car of the De Sa. Later in the evening when my brother approached the Calangute Police station the official on duty did not show him the Panchanama and called him next day stating that the accident has taken place due to rash and negligent driving of the motorcycle rider. Next day my brother along with the Advocate went to the Calangute Police station and filed our complaint and took the possession of my motorbike. If this is the treatment meted out to a an educated lady like me then one will imagine what would be the fate of a illiterate person if he happens to meet with an accident in which the vehicle of VIP is involved. These politicians dole out rosy promises during election time to the electorate and pretend to be social workers but in reality they are selfish people entered into this business of politics to amass wealth.
