The games are played on Eglinton Flats Soccer Fields, every Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The league begins in mid May and continues till mid September and the playoffs follow till mid October. The scores are published in Toronto's major newspapers viz. The Toronto Star and the Toronto Sun.
New teams are registered at the first meeting in March. The league is ruled by its constitution and bylaws. A copy of this constitution is given to every team at the beginning of the season. The schedules are given well in advance before the start of the season.
The league is usually divided into two divisions called the BARDEZ DIVISION and the SALCETE DIVISION, representing North and South Goa. Goa is the 25th and the youngest state in the Republic of India. It was a former Portuguese colony for more than 400 years until December 19, 1961, when India took it under its reign.
The league operates with two committees. The Executive Committee, which is elected for a term of two years, alternately electing the President and the Treasurer in the odd years and the Vice President and the Secretary in the even years. The Disciplinary Committee is either elected or nominated by the Executive Committee.

The Goan Soccer League is a recreational league, however, it is very competitive. It was formed on February, 24th 1988. This league is open to all Hotels, Firms, and Clubs who have players over eighteen (18) years of age.
The object of this league is to promote the ever growing soccer in Toronto and to create a greater interest in the extra curricular activities for employees and members. This league is affiliated to the Metropolitan Toronto Soccer Association (M.T.S.A.), which is also affiliated to the Ontario Soccer Association (O.S.A.) and the Canadian Soccer Association.
