------------------------------

In Aldona and in Calangute there is a Naikawado.
Origins rather obvious.
Same with very common ward names like Siqueira Vaddo, Cruz Waddo etc.

And many villages have a Gaunsavaddo where most of the Gaunkars of the village originate from.
Same with Bammonvaddo.

But what about Quitula, Bhatlem, Maddel and similar ward names that are quite common? Would appreciate if anyone who knows a rare ward name, that exists in at least TWO villages, would post the same. I can then compile a list and approach some experts for the Origins and Meanings of these ward names.

This is part of a larger study Eng. Jose Lourenco (of Amazing Goa fame) and myself are undertaking on the evolution, and stratification of wards, within Goan villages through history.
