For those who would like to know - this caste debate originated on GoaNet in 1997 when Yours Truly popped the question "Caste" discrimination to the well know Rt Wing Hindu idealogue Ashok Chowgule.
Ashok Chowgule was hounding "catholic" computers with horrendous anti SFX, Mother Teresa and Pope John Paul stuff .
JC was surprised at Ashok Chowgule's unusually evasive & defensive reaction to this "caste" question. That is why he decided to spend many days in the various libraries in the US & with books from India - researching this nonsense called "Caste"
