This theme was discussed quite at length over goanet /goa-research-net. The
goanet archive could be of help to retrace the discussion. I utilized the
word *pordexporia* in my essay on Opinion Poll published by Independent Goan
Observer on Jan 18th.
The idea was to coin a word that
Goanet next meets in Goa: January 7, 4 pm (meeting point: Kala Academy canteen).
Goanet founder Herman Carneiro will be there. See you there!

Diaspora is definitely the appropriate word.
