Recruitment under Short Service Commission in Navy NT News Service
Panaji July 19: The Indian Navy has invited applications from unmarried male candidates studying in final year engineering, to join as officer in technical branches under Short Service Commission, University Entry Scheme for August 2006 course. Candidate studying in a AICTE approved college/ institution with one of the disciplines such as engineering branch with mechanical, marine, aeronautical, production, metallurgy, civil or navy architecture, or electrical branch with electrical, electronics, telecommunications, instrumentation, instrumentation and control, electronics and instrumentation, electronics and communication, power engineering or control system engineering, is eligible to apply. The candidate should have scored minimum of 60 per cent aggregate marks till pre-final year, moreover he should be born between August 2, 1982 and August 1, 1987. Interested candidates have to submit their applications, in the prescribed format, completed in all respects. The last date for the receipt of the applications by the concerned recruiting officer is August 5, 2005. Candidates from Goa may send their applications to the Flag Officer, Commanding-in-Chief (for Command Recruiting Officer), Headquarters, Western Naval Command, Shahid Bhagat Singh Road, Mumbai-400 023.
