CUNCOLIM: The nightingale of Goa, Lorna, got a jam packed audience of listening and dancing crowd at Cuncolim Union summer nite, much to the surprise even of the organisers Cuncolim Union.
Although two other bands Big City and Status Four played at dance, the spotlight was on Lorna. She did not disappoint her fans and sang nine songs. One of the song was dedicated to her mentor, Chris Perry. Initially Lorna had promised to sing only five songs, but she was swayed by the tremendous response of the crowd and she bowed to the demands of her fans, some of them who had last seen her perform at a show in Cuncolim thirty years back at Dandora in Cuncolim. Lorna's singing brought the maximum crowd on the dancing floor. The show was compered by Neeraj Aguiar and Tony Coutinho. chairman of the organizing committee Filonio Vaz released a special dance souvenir. Cuncoli MLA Joaquim Alemao was the chief guest for the dance. Lots of prizes were awarded for the dancers.
