The much publicized swearing of Affidavits by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)
candidates that they would not defect is yet another cheap political stunt.
Their Chief Ministerial Candidate Adv. Amit Palekar, more than anyone else,
should know that this affidavit has no legal standing whatsoever. Moreover,
I have respect for John Nazareth’s data analysis ability but I would also be
appreciative it he told us how he arrived at the figure of 400K Goans in
Bombay. The odds are against that figure considering:
1. Bombay’s population is about 22 mil officially.
