I remember my maternal grandmother singing the song that was composed to
commemorate the 1895 massacre of the alleged bandits who raided the Aldona
church. It went like this:
Tin tarim bhair than aile re choru
Casmil Alvilem dhorlem re ghoru
Apunn ganvkar mhunn martale faru
Pondak gulli voileanu daru
Ispilit(?) futton zainaim re faru
Choru mindde zal' perturvaru
