*Where have all the protesting BJP Mahilas disappeared?*

It is almost a year and half since the BJP government has taken
over the reins of the state but there seems to be no let-up on price rise
of essential commodities. One of the main planks that the BJP came to power
or rather it was their agenda on their election manifesto that if they come
to power in the state they would curb the rising costs of essential
commodities. But nothing seems to have changed at the ground level infact
prices have spiralled much higher compared to the Congress regime.

Ironically BJP Mahilas who used to stage dharnas, protests at
Municipality squares and sometimes even lay a siege at the Collectorates
seems to have fallen silent. Their silence itself is deafening is it
because they feel ashamed that their government also cannot commit to its
promises of controlling the prices or is it because they have now realized
that whether it is the BJP government or the Congress, the functioning of
the politicians remains the same? And the primary function of the
politicians is to get elected, scramble to form the government and then get
set to win another election with a motto ? ?common man be damned?.

Dear Nisser,

I like it that you like to expose hypocrisy. Continue in the same vein no
matter who the party is.
