Goa -Delhi Trains -There are about 18 trains to Delhi per week from Goa (all stop at Margao) of which 8 originating from Goa - 1 from Margao and 7 from Vasco. - Frequency: A.Goa Express (7), B Mangala (7), C. Rajdani (2), D. Goa Sampark (1 soon 2) & E. Kerala Kranti (1) - Runs on: A daily, B Daily, C Wed/FRI, D Tue & E. Sat - Dep.Goa Timings B. 01.30, E. 03.30, C&D 12.30, A.15.10 - Arrival Delhi A. 06.25, E.13.10, B. 13.20, C. 18.50, D. 22.50 - Travel time varies i.e. C. 31hrs, B. 36, A 39, D 34, E 32 - Dep Delhi: E 14.00hrs Wed, B 9.20 daily, A 15.00 daily, D 07.30 Sat. & C 11.05 Tue/Sun -Arrival Goa: E 22.00, B 20.20, A 05.10, D 15.00 & C 14.40 - Cheapest ticket sleeper around Rs.550 whereas III AC about 1500 , Rajdhani 2100 - All tickets can be booked online Credit cards and most Debits cards also accepted http://www.indianrail.gov.in/ There is usually a transaction fee of Rs.10-15 by the banks. Again, there are I-Tickets and E tickets. Where tickets are delivered to your home or tickets can be printed at home (like E-ticket by air). One can even book ticket few hours before the departure. Wait list tickets can also be booked online. Goa Express: Goa to Delh- Plenty ticket available in July/Aug but Delhi-Goa seems fully booked. Strangely, Delhi-Goa (Sampark) plenty tickets available. I guess not many people are aware of this once in a week train. Bur Goa Sampart arrive Delhi very late aroudn 2300hrs, not a good choice for the first timers. - Most trains stop at Agra Cant. Will update this info as and when new trains/Frequencies are added e.g. Rajdhani, Goa Sampark etc Other relevant info: Each train has about 16 bogies or compartments. Of which 1 could be Class I, 1 II, 2 III, 7/8 Sleeper, 2 General, 1 pantry etc Each compartment capacity is about 75 seating/sleeping but unreserved general compartment there is no limit – tickets are never sold out. Each such compartment could carry upto 250 with some people standing one legged etc Always take care of your things including your foot wears. They can go missing just like that. Once I was telling everybody to take care of their things etc, guess what? My shoes gone missing, thank God I always carry a pair of sleepers.
