Covid pandemic has given handle to so called immunity boosting . It appears that formulations , concoctions , are substitutes touted as immunity boosting compared to nourishing , natural foods. and which are much less expensive These boosters are supposed to provide good immunity to Covid virus .Accordingly Ayush Ministry Baba Ramdev formulations, protinex Amul dudh etc are aggressively advertised presently as immunity boosters for the first time. Many repurposed costly drugs are also promoted as immunity boosters because there is no specifically drug cure in the absence of vaccine . Hence worried and anxious citizens are falsely led to the garden path of believing in immunity boosting food substitutes and formulations of no proven record. The consumption of wholesome ,natural foods are the best and that have stood in good stead all these years, as guarantee against innumerable killer diseases that have ravaged the mankind. One fails to understand on logic of promotion by massive advertising campaigns of these food substitutes ,capitalising on the misery of vulnerable victims. Who said that covid is not another opportunity to bleed people of their scarce resources in the name of fear of pandemic. Govt too is excessively profiting by way of 12 to 18 percent GS T on all medical related inputs , handwash is a glaring example of heartlessness, which is considered effective for any poor person.
