i need freelance artists who can do high quality 4 and 2 colour
illustrations in English language books for Indian children of class 5.
requirement is immediate. this is for the school market. books are due by
May 07.
i can work with Goan artists or artists from Goa.
they can send me roughs on email and courier the final work.
currently i am already working with an artist from bangalore - for the
second time.
if we cannot identify artists this year, let us have a data base for use in
future.
if possible, kindly ask prospective artists to scan and send roughs (black
and white) and 4 and 2 colour illustrations to me on email.
i give below a sample poem 'the skylark' by christina rosetti for class 5
which artists can illustrate and send to me if they wish. illustration space
5" height x 4" width.

The Skylark
The earth was green, the sky was blue:
I saw and heard one sunny morn
A skylark hang between the two,
A singing speck above the corn;
A stage below, in gay accord,
White butterflies danced on the wing,
And still the singing skylark soared,
And silent sank, and soared to sing.
The cornfield stretched a tender green
To right and left beside my walks;
I knew he had a nest unseen
Somewhere among the million stalks.
And as I paused to hear his song,
While swift the sunny moments slid,
Perhaps his mate sat listening long,
And listened longer than I did.
