He passed away yesterday in Los Angeles after a well lived life of ninety 
two.  Alfred was a proud   'natural' of Majorda-Betalbatim. He had managed the 
Konkanni section of AIR in Bombay and then   accepted a transfer to the Panjim 
station as director in 1962. He taught courses at a State College  in 
California and was active to the end, doing time as a hospital volunteer the 
week he died.     Alfred and his wife Nora raised two sons, both physicians in 
Los Angeless.     I will ever remember the soccer banter between him and his 
New York brother Tony, over the phone.
