CHAIR ON INDIAN STUDIES: The former MP further informed the media that he has written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to constitute a Chair on Indian studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies in Portugal so that there is a cultural presence of India in Portugal. I made this recommendation after President of Oriental Institute Prof Narana Coissoro brought to my notice that countries like China, UK and Germany had their own institutions in Portugal while India had none, Eduardo said.
