2007 GOAN ASSEMBLY ELECTION
AN APPEAL FROM A NON RESIDENT (RETURNED) GOAN

I left Goa in 1957 during the Portuguese colonial rule of Salazar
Dictatorship.

After 46 years abroad I returned to see Goa facing a Dictatorship of
Corruption.

India is taking gigantic steps to be the number one world power.

This is evident in all our neighbouring estates but the level of corruption
in Goa is such that we are left very much behind.

Many corrupt candidates elected in the past have in short time accumulated
disproportionate wealth and are again participating in this election.

Vote to these corrupt candidates would kill the dream of Goans to have a
clean and effective governance.

In 2006 during the 3rd NRI Samelan at Kala Academy, fellow NRIs and NRGs
appointed me as their representative and I deeply regret that my mission to
represent you was canceled.

We NRIs and NRGs feel humiliated to see the level of corruption in Goa and
now my appeal to all of you is to contact your relatives and friends in Goa
eligible to vote in this election to "THINK AND VOTE".

I'm associated with the "Goan Rebel Art Group" and our message is clear
"THINK AND VOTE".
