Art escape presents Drum circle workshop on 13th & 14th march from 5pm-7pm

Taal Inc. Drum Circles is an extension of you, and your celebration of your connection with your inner rhythm. Here you will learn more about drum circles, its application, its scope, watch videos, pictures and much more.

Conducted by Varun Venkit, Clinical Psychologist, Percussionist and Drummer with Agnee, Masters NLP Practitioner, NFNLP, USA.

The aim is to reach out to people using the medium of a drum and positively influence the areas of health and well-being, stress reduction, communication enhancement, potential building and to learn a whole new discipline - the Djembe!

Programme: Interactive music exercises, stress reduction techniques, communication enhancement procedures, group cohesiveness building exercises through the metaphor of drumming and vocal exercises.

Instruments used: African hand drums (Djembes), Latin American hand drums (Congas, bongos, ashikos), Frame drums, Various percussion instruments (Shakers, wood-blocks, bells,)

Method: Group rhythm exercises, rhythmic games, disguised, experiential and observational learning.

13TH MARCH SATURDAY EVENING @ 7.30 PM
Drumline is a 2002 film directed by Charles Stone III. The screenplay, which was inspired by the life of Dallas Austin (one of the producers of the film) was written by Tina Gordon Chism and Shawn Schepps. The story is about a young drummer from New York, played by Nick Cannon, who enters the fictional Atlanta A&T University and bumps heads with the leader of his new school's drum section. Leonard Roberts, Zoe Saldana, and Orlando Jones co-star.

The Blues Brothers is a 1980 musical comedy directed by John Landis and starring John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd as "Joliet" Jake and Elwood Blues, After the release of Jake Blues (John Belushi) from prison, he and his brother Elwood (Dan Aykroyd)go to visit the orphanage where they were raised by nuns.They learn that the church has stopped its support and will sell the place unless the tax on the property is paid within 11 days. The brothers decide to raise the money by putting their blues band back together and staging a big gig. They may be on a "mission from God", but they are making enemies everywhere they go.It features musical numbers by R&B and soul singers James Brown, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, and John Lee Hooker.
