Bandodkar's Statue or Dr Jack Sequeira's? Last week Goa celeberated the 90th birth anniversary of Dr Jack Sequeira...the father of the opinion poll and the individual solely responsible for Goa remaining GOA than merging into Maharashtra as proposed by Goa's first Maharashtrawadi CM, Dayanand Bandodkar, pioneer of the Maharashtra-wadi Gomant-ak Party...(MGP).
Despite his traitor-type acts Dayanand Bandodkar, is revered and honoured in Goa...the fact remains unfortunately that he (however) was the first CM of Goa... But i feel the actual saviour of Goa and Goans was Dr Jack Sequeira... So considering the honour for a man who saved Goa...and the government is not even interested in erecting a statue to give him the real honour...is it right to honour the traitorish-CM Dayanand Bandodkar with a statue right opposite the Adilshah palace? Should Bandodkar have had his way, and not opposed by Dr Jack Sequeira, where would Goa be today and what would have been left of Goans? It is time the Goa government and goans wake up and erect a life size statue of Dr Jack Sequeira -- the father of Goa's indentity...and think about how much honour we are giving to a person who wholeheartedly endorsed the idea, for his and his family business gain -- of selling the soul of GOA...
