Comments : Camilo Fernandes - In response to Rajendra's mail : If it is true that Remo who is a true lover of Goan and is held in high esteem by Goan, an international celebrity, spoke against the Goa MLAs and then invited Digu and other politicians to grace and bless his concert in Margao last year, as mentioned by Rajendra Kakodkar in his below mail, then I am shocked. This is the problem with Goans. They will condemn corrupt politicians but wine and dine with them at the first opportunity when it suits them and they stand to gain. Goans have to practice what they preach. We cant condemn corrupt politicians who are ruining Goa during the day publicly and then quietly entertain and celebrate with them for our selfish motives. If celebrities like Remo behave in this manner then one what can we expect from the average Goan who often may not be literate and not welll off. He can very easily be taken for granted and for a ride by Goan politicians. I hope this mail about Remo's invitation to politcians is forwarded to him as well.

But mere writing on Goanet or NT is not sufficient. A movement is needed to make politicians feel the pinch.?A year ago Remo?wanted to dump all 40 MLAs in the sea. But a fortnight later he invited Digu and other politicians to bless his concert in Margao. Too much talk and no action?smells of cynicism.? ? In our once-in 5-year electoral politics, politicians know that they can buy gullible voters with?soro-chicken-dudu bonanza in just one fortnight and then mint money in the next 130 fortnights. These voters may not even know what goanet is. ? Rajendra ? In response to: ? Camilo Fernandes wrote:?I fully agree and endorse?that we should stop honouring our corrupt ministers.? Goans had elected these politicians in good faith that they would be saving Goa from ruins but they have let us down by being traitors, destory and ruin Goa and are only hell bent in amassing wealth for themselves.??Goans associations should?never?invite these corrupt and crooked politicians to grace their occasions.? Arwin Mesquita wrote: http://www.navhindtimes.in/opinion/letters-editor-236 * * Stop Honouring Our Corrupt Ministers *I AM as guilty as many of my other Goan colleagues as I was part of associations celebrating Goa?s corrupt ministers. But I have come to my senses and hope that my fellow Goans would do the same as well. Goans are honouring Goan ministers in Canada, USA, Europe, Gulf, Goa etc and I really need to ask the question, Why? Are we honouring the very people who are responsible for the sorry state of affairs Goa is in today? It is these corrupt MLAs that are responsible for doing serious damage to Goa.
