Both of you guys are simply trying to prove that "your religion/tradition/culture is worse than mine"... so I don't think either of you'll deserve any sympathy :-)
Your motives are like those of the BJP which wants to "reform" the personal law of the Muslims in the name of uniformity, and sheds crocodile tears over the fate of Muslim women! Or the White Man and the Christian of the past, who believed he had the job of saving the world (when in reality the West itself needs a lot of 'saving' to be done for itself.) Reality is more complex. I think all our religions/traditions/cultures contain things to be proud of, and things to be ashamed of, within them. We need to work to reform the negative things on our own side of the fence, instead of criticising others and feeling morally superior! Have a nice day anyway... FN From: "C. A. Bhandare" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Dear Dr. JC, My replies follow: 1: Let's get this out up front: It is NOT OK for ANYONE to terrorise anybody else for ANY reason - please vide my response to Sunith for further comment from me. CA: Good, at least we agree on something 2: As a person who has openly opposed sexual abuse in any shape or form (please see reference infra) I'd like to know what you have written, said, done about the Burning Alive of One Missionary and two children by Dara Singh et al.... -- FN: Frederick Noronha Phone 0091-832-2409490 http://wikiwikiweb.de/MyContacts
